This project is built on the edge of a lake. The home owner asked us to create this water feature which includes three giant waterfalls with nearly five hundred feet of mountain streams and several miniature pools. Our water feature is naturally blended into this privately owned property surrounded by dense forest. Two large pumps will be set in the lake to pump water up to a 20' x 12' x 3' fish pond. After this project is completed, the home owner will be able to view the water cascading down to three 7' tall waterfalls back into the lake from their upper decks. Please click on the thumbnails for larger images. This is the area that we are going to construct a new water feature for the home owner. As you may have noticed that these pictures were taken in the early spring. The forest was still "dormant". The fun "party" starts now... Week one: May 6 to May 10. What we did mainly in the first week was preparation. Unloaded the giant boulders from vendors and cleared out the brush at the job site. We also experienced "monsoon" storms this week which stopped our construction work for days. Please move the cursor over the pictures for more information. Week two: May 13 to May 17. Please move the cursor over the pictures for more information. Week three: May 20 to May 23. This week will be only four working days. We will close this Friday and the following Monday for the Memorial holiday. Please move the cursor over the pictures for more information. Week four: May 28 to May 31. We dug the upper pond and finished the construction of streams work! Please move the cursor over the pictures for more information. Week five: June 3 to June 7. The whole construction has been completed. Please move the cursor over the pictures for more information. These zigzag stepping stones add more characters to water feature. It also give a chance to the home owners/guests to have some fun walking through the entire water garden. Here are some final shots when water was running and lights were on. When we took these pictures, there was still no power on this property. We had to use a generator to get the pumps and lights working. Unfortunately, the generator could only get one pump working at a time. There would be more water flow if both pumps were running. Streams shots: Since the total length of the streams is about 500' around the property, we would like to show you few more pictures of streams here. They look real good! Upper pond and a few night shots - This upper pond is about 20' x 12' x 3' with three waterfalls coming out on the top. There are two gate valves installed so that the home owner can control the water volume to these three top waterfalls and the stream at far left side. When the landscape lights are lit up, they look like many candles sparkling on this water feature. Real cool!
